Color Seclusion Therapy

Hey life is tough, thank God for markers!!!!
A while back I did an image swap with my SBS5 sisters, so I brought out my little box of all the wonderful stamped images and began to color!!! So over the next week or so you will see all the fun cards I made with each one of their goodies. Sorry I can't remember who sent which stamped image, but they are all great!
To begin I love to match patterned paper when I a color, it gives me combos of colors that I normally might not think to put together. So I started with the "blue" paper in the back ground and while I was digging around I found this lovely scrap of zebra paper that I have no idea where it came from so I though oh good those don't go together I think I will try to use them!!! And so here is what I came up with...well besides CosmoBella looks great on any card!!!

Yet another PP match! (PP=patterned paper, geesh) What a cute hedge hog!

This is my very first and maybe my last cowboy card, only because

I don't own any cowboy stamps Ya'll!

Summer SBS5 ATC Swap...

For the blog readers that may not know what an ATC is it stands for, Artist Trading Cards. This is my first swap that I have done of this sort. I quite like it though, first of all they are very small, about the size of a baseball card, second because of there size you can make them pretty quickly and they are very inexpensive to mail for a swap, especially if they are being sent to another country like ours were.
So we decided to do this swap among a few of us in our SBS5 group (sisterhood of the blogging stampers), I though I would share what everyone created with a SUMMER theme in mind!
Click on the ladies names to visit their blogs and check out the rest of their beautiful work!
~~~~~~~~~
This is Kanani's pretty pink card,
the butterflies are so glittery and I love the frayed ribbon on the bottom!Another pretty pink butterfly by Jany, love the textured card stock that she used and the little green ribbon tag!
"Sun Sun Sun" by Bela, this card has great dimension,
gotta love that patterned paper too!
Does it get any sweeter then a 4th of July chicky by Jamie,
all decked out with glitter and a cuttelbugged background, adorable!
"Life is Hot" and so is this card by Lay!
Talk about texture and dimension,
not too mention this card screams to be on a scrapbook page!
I just love the colors on this vase and flowers by Hope,
she used one of my favorite stamps, plus those great little jeweled dots in the corners,
very pretty!
Everyone loves red roses!!!
Pat did a fabulous job on this one the roses are all glittery!
Janine our swap host made an adorable little ATC pocket with a card inside!
How flippin' cute is that little bee eatin' that watermelon!!! Summer summer summer!
I would be curious to know how many of you salt your watermelon???
Julie must have been on the same page as Janine (above)
Yummy summer tomatoes, those are the only ones I will eat!
I love the colors! Great card Julie,
and I love the sweet corn paper that is on the back of her card as well!!!
Yummy!
And here is mine, folded and closed....
Then when you untie the ribbon I have an attached
but perforated little bookmark that you can just pull off and use
for your summer reading!
(This is my first post using my scanner instead of my camera (that is still lost), so I hope that you were able to see things as well as usual.)
There is just no way that it is possible that I haven't posted here in 2 MONTHS!!!
Holy COW!
I think that means that it is possible that I have done no new stamping either!
What neglect my crafty goods are getting!
Oh wait yes I have done some stamping...I was involved in a swap, an ATC swap, with my lovely SBS5 sisters!
It may be a bit but I will post those when I get them.
Also, I am too too sad about this but I still can not find my camera...how does one lose a camera??? I am determined to find it, I just know I put it somewhere really good!
So since I have nothing new to share I thought I would post this lovely old favorite of mine, I think that I only posted it on my old blog so maybe some of you have not seen it, it just happens to be one of my favorites!And a little close up of my "burn" work, and intentional fraying of the ribbon!
I do promise to be back with new stuff very soon...
Wow a week goes by so fast!
So I spent some time today finishing some cards for clients at the salon, and a few to just replenish my stock. The first card is an already stamped image that I found in my scraps while looking for some patterned paper...never did find the paper I was looking for but I found this gal, so I colored her up and put her into action. She is she to brighten someones day! then I had to work on a few more St. Patty's Day cards...excuse me I mean St. PATRICK"S Day, my client wanted a few cards however she doesn't like when you say Patty's day sooo, I did not have another stamp so I wrote it out, looks about the same. Don't you just love the silver on this one. I found these pretty little bling clovers at Micheals! So I just had to get out my zig painty and give his buckles a little bling of their own!
For some reason this one cracks me up! I don't know if I really like it or really hate it!
And sometimes you just don't get a good camera shot of a pretty card!
See I really still do stamp!
I must admit enough green! I am getting a bit sick of coloring in my little leprechaun! haha!
that is exactly why we have tons of stamps, because we love ones when we buy them but then you can get very sick of some of them after you have used them a lot!
have a great weekend!
My BF Angela's birthday card...
This card style was inspired by a layout I seen in one of the SU magazines. It is like a pop out birthday book card! I clear embossed the images on the front. I like the silhouette look it produced. Then with a series of folds I created the inside. I also clear embossed the background images on the inside and used my gel pen a bit to make the flowers pop. I stamped and cut out some little cutie creatures to "pop" out on the inside.
It is a nice long card. Looks even better in real life.
You just glue down only half your bug to the corner of each fold.
Here you can see where I used my trusty white gel pen!
Aww I just am so happy with how this turned out! She really loved it too, Ang is a new stamper in the process of getting TOTALLY addicted...we all know how that is!
Angela's Present...
Angela and I have been best friends since the sixth grade, we are very close even though she lives all the way in Arizona, we are so much alike and most of the time there is nobody who I relate to as much as I do to Ang! We seem to always look at things the same way...she is one of my favorite people! A while back I won a little contest for best use of dazzling diamonds glitter. When the contest came up I new what I wanted to do and that was to glitter my best friends dress in her wedding photo's, and make her a little gift. So I found this shadow box at Micheals and made a scrapbook page to put inside. I owe her one more box with one of her cutie husband in it, but I have anew printer and it is not printing as well! As you can see I used dazzling diamonds which is like a very fine glitter on her dress and jewelry and even a bit on her flowers.
I am happy that in the pictures you can really see the glitter!
It helps make it look even better cuz she is ridiculously gorgeous too!
Here is a close up, I used it to add to her jewelry! It looks so nice!
The glitter is permanent, it is actually embossed on...I can do a tutorial if requested. It is just a nice way to add some pretty to your pictures!!!
Hope you had a wonderful birthday Ang...I love and miss you!!!!
Julia Nunes...
I found these videos on You Tube, this girl is so talented!
Click here, I posted them on my personal blog yesturday, but I wanted to share it with more readers.
A little Birthday gift!
I made this for my friend (and our shampoo assistant) Kris for her birthday!
It is a cute little journal, see one of my little birds!!! I also used a new CB sleeve that I just got and sponged a bit of color on the embossed flowers (green background). Another new thing I used is some rub-ons next to my new "friend" stamp. As most of you know SU has their celebration free stamp give away so I am happy to get some new things!!! This is just a quick little pocket I made to hold 4 CDs. I burned her a copy of The Secret, which is why I gave her a journal. I know that she has the book, but she drives a long way to get to work and I thought it would keep her company in the car and lift up her spirits at the same time!
Here is a peek inside very simple. With the use of double sided sticky tape the pocket swill hold up nicely. (ya know the red kind of tape).
I am off to bed, busy Saturday!!!
Somewhere under the frosty rainbow???
I thought for sure I was going to have to first seek out a rainbow today when trying to find a Leprechaun stamp that I could use today!
A lovely sunny 21 degrees!
I set out to find him anyway! After 2 Hobby Lobby's and 1 Micheal's I decided to head back home and start to call, besides a few bucks at every store adds up!
So after the 2nd phone call they said they had him! I told them to hold my Leprechaun up front and I would be there to get him right away!
(this was the reading at noon in the sun, and that was the warmest today,
Ang & Gram Pat aren't you jealous?)
SO here he is! Plus I got some great patterned paper for the background (at one of the stores, who knows which one)!
And for my family and friends take a good close look at this cute little guy...
Now who does he remind you of???
Birds, birds & more birds!!!!
I warned you guys! I still have more...
So far this one is my favorite! Could be the color, could be that I am a HUGE Beatles fan...who knows?
ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE!
I used my cuttlebug on that one! And do you spot my new little green adhesive pearls that Nikki sent me...they look even better in real life! I must admit I really like the colors on this little hummer...I actually looked them up on the Internet because I have never actually had them in my backyard or anything...I just couldn't remember what their colors are, although they have many different kinds! I am all about just winging it and making up my own colors (get it winging it) but it was nice to have a bit of inspiration! This one I tried something a little different as well, I outlined the image in my summer sun marker, usually I would do blue but I liked the effect this one had!
Aww and what else can I say 'bout this little buggar!
...the little things
More birds tomorrow!
(I have 4 more colored just have to create the cards)
Imported from England...
My SBS5 sisters and I are having a little image swap!
What that is basically is that all the gals are stamping out a minimum of 5 images and making everyone a little packet, then they are mailing them to my house and I will swap them out and mail them back. Well since we are quite the global group one of the gals is off setting the cost of her return package in goodies to me! Woohoo I love to get crafty goodies. She does not have access to US currency or US postage, so it sounded like a good trade to me.
Nikki also made me this adorable thank you card!!! Here is my goodies!
I have already busted into these adorable little green adhesive pearls,
they are like little gems (you can find them on one of my bird cards)!
When we are all done swapping we will have at least 80 images a piece! I can't wait to see what else the girls send! How fun!
